UPCOMING CGRC MEETINGS AND EVENTS

Thank you for your continued support during these uncertain times. As you are aware, we were required to cancel our annual Spring Conformation Specialty in April due to COVID-19 concerns.

The CGRC board has been working tirelessly in conjunction with the AKC on new regulations concerning the current COVID-19 pandemic. We carefully and objectively weighed every option around holding our upcoming annual Fall Obedience trial. Our trial is always well attended and something we all look forward to each year. The location, set-up and ease for competitors has contributed to our success, but also poses great challenges with the new AKC regulations. For the safety of our members, volunteers and competitors, it is with great regret that we have come to the decision to cancel the 2020 Obedience Trial.

Social Events Update:
We were able to hold our Summer Fun Day at Barkby Plungers in June. The outdoor nature and large space made it easy to practice social distancing and keep everyone safe and it was a great time as always!

The next upcoming social event is our Halloween Party. Again, your board has weighed all options around holding this event. While this party is always a highlight for the club, we do not feel it is in the best interest of your safety to hold this indoor event at this time. Regretfully, we have come to another difficult decision to cancel the Halloween party. We are reserving any decisions about our Holiday party at this time.

You will continue to be updated as situations are re-evaluated. With some extra time on our hands, your board is committed to improving our club and we have some special things in the works for you!! As always, this is Your Chesapeake Golden Retriever Club and we welcome any feedback or questions/concerns you have. These decisions have been made with the club and your best interest at heart. We wish everyone to stay safe and are looking forward to a new and improved 2021!!!
